Recent Navigation Warnings of China Waters No.60

We have obtained the recent navigation warnings of the China Waters issued by China MSA. Please see the following the free translations by the law firm in Shanghai, China, Sloma & Co.

I.   Work duration: 5 September 2017 – 31 October 2017

II.  Work areas: 
     A: 38°01′53.43″N,119°36′01.43″E;   B: 38°01′24.22″N,119°36′01.59″E;
     C: 38°01′24.43″N,119°37′03.11″E;   D: 38°01′53.63″N,119°37′02.96″E

III.  Work boat: “Bin Hai 108”, “Sheng Li 251” and “Sheng Li 253”

IV.  Cautions:
      1. Workboats should display signals in accordance with Regulation on Signal Exhibition in Coastal Port and keep
          watch on VHF 14 during the work.
      2. Passing vessels should contact the workboats in advance and pass-by slowly after taking avoidance
          measures.


2. Well exploration operation on Well BZ29-2E-1d of Laizhou
(Sloma Translation)

I.    Work duration: 1 September 2017 – 30 November 2017.

II.   Work areas: well exploration operation on Well BZ29-2E-1d in circular water areas centered by
      38°17′42.97″N /119°46′20.74″E, with a radius of 1000 meters.

III.  Work boat: “Bo Hai No.7”, “Hai Yang Shi You 677”, “Hai Yang Shi You 647”, “Hai Yang Shi You 641”,
      “Hai Yang Shi You 642”, “Bin Hai 283”, “Bin Hai 284”, “Bin Hai 285”, “Bin Hai 286”, “Bin Hai 287”, “Hao Chi 9”,
      “Xiang Run 66”, “Heng Zun”, “Zhou Gong 6005”,“Ji Hai 8006”, “Heng Fu” and “Hai Yang Shi You 615”. 

IV.  Cautions:
      1. Workboats should display signals in accordance with Regulation on Signal Exhibition in Coastal Port and

3. Geological exploration operation in water areas of Yuejingyang of Ningbo
(Sloma Translation)

China MSA 18 September 2017

I.   Work duration: 20 September 2017 – 30 October 2017, daytime operation.

II.   Work areas: water areas of Yuejingyang of Ningbo, centered by following two points (China Geodetic
      Coordinate System 2000), with a radius of 100 meters:
        ① 29°14′05.4″N/121°46′50.7″E;② 29°13′56.7″N/121°47′20.6″E

III.  Work mode: “Zhe Ding Gong 1006” (length: 31.2m, width: 5.8m) will drop anchors at fixed points to conduct
      geological exploration operation, the length of the anchor is about 50m.  

IV.  Cautions:
       1. Workboats should display regulated lights and shapes in obvious places day and night, display obvious marks
           at the place where the anchor hawsers enter the water and keep watch on VHF16.

       2. The operation should be suspended in bad weather.

       3. Passing vessels should strengthen lookout and contact, keep safety distance with the workboats and
           pass-by slowly.

4. Well exploration operation on Well KL6-4-5D of Laizhou
(Sloma Translation)

China MSA 20 September 2017

I.   Work duration: 20 September 2017 – 31 October 2017, day-night operation.

II.  Work unit: China National Offshore Oil Corporation Limited, Tianjin Branch.

III. Work boat and facility: Drilling platform “Hai Yang Shi You 924”.

IV. Work areas: water areas centered by 40°23′07.001″N、121°07′38.315″E, with a radius of 500 meters.

V.   Cautions:
      1. The platform should display and exhibit lights and shapes as regulated.
      2. The platform should strengthen duties and lookout, keep watch on VHF06, VHF16 and VHF67 and
          strengthen contact with the passing vessels.
      3. The platform should use safety methods as far as possible during the water operation to ensure the safety
          of the construction.
      4. Passing vessels should strengthen lookout, pay attention to the avoidance for the safety matters.
