Chile’s Measures for Asian Gypsy Moth (Revised)

9 July 2018 No.971

Members are kindly requested to refer to the previous Japan P&I News No.946 regarding the requirements for 2018 Asian Gypsy Moth (AGM) seasons set forth by regulating countries free from AGM. In this regard, please kindly note that the content on the regulated area in China defined by Chilean government was incorrect. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and revise it as follows.

In accordance with the Chilean Resolution No.4412/2013 and No.8870/2015, the regulated risk area in China is not all China but (the limited parts of) China located between 20° and 60° north latitude. Therefore, only a small portion of southern China at a latitude of 20° south such as Hainan Island is not within the regulated area.
