30 September 2013 No.647

We have received a free translation of the resolution on phytosantary requirements for vessels from areas with Asian Gypsy Moth (AGM) from our correspondents in Chile, Cave & Cia. Ltda.

The Chilean Agricultural & Livestock Service (SAG) has issued phytosantary requirements for vessel entering the country to prevent the introduction and spread of Asian Gypsy Moth (AGM).  The Resolution was published in the Official Gazette in August, 2013 and will come into force six months after the publication, i.e., February, 2014; it will be applied to vessels which have been stationed in areas with AGM presence after the said publication date.
