Recently BIMCO (The Baltic and International Maritime Council) has announced their sample of AMS Clauses both for Voyage and Time Charter Parties for the reference to the ship owners whose vessels are scheduled to call United State's Ports.

As BIMCO explained the responsibility between ship owner and charterer and who shall be the "Carrier" under AMS may be varied on case by case, in their sample clauses, BIMCO'ssamples are made by the assumption that the ship owner is the "Carrier" for VoyageCharter Party sample and the charterer is the "Carrier" for Time Charter Party samplerespectively.
