We refer to the Japan P&I News No.1385 dated 10 August 2026. The Paris and Tokyo MOUs will jointly conduct a Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Cargo Securing for three months from 1 September to 30 November 2026.

We have obtained information regarding a notice encouraging preparations for this CIC issued by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA).

As improperly loaded, stowed and secured cargo poses serious risks, AMSA highly encourages ship operators and masters to review their vessel's cargo securing arrangements by 1 September to ensure they are fully ready for inspection.
