We have received information from our correspondents in Saudi Arabia, Mutual Marine Services Al Mushtaraka Ltd., regarding the recent update of the situation in the Middle East as of 12 March 2026 following attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran.

Strait of Hormuz

Remains closed.

Port Situation:

UAE - All ports are operational.

Oman - Duqm and Sohar working. Salalah closed due to recent attack.

Qatar - Ports are operational.

Kuwait - All ports are operational.

Iraq - Surveyors are currently unable to proceed to the anchorage area for offshore work at the Umm Qasr OPL, Iraq. This is due to an ongoing emergency situation in the area following a fire incident reported on three vessels. Considering the current security and safety conditions, movement toward the anchorage area has been temporarily restricted.

Bahrain - Operations have been suspended.

Saudi Arabia - All ports on the Arabian Gulf side are operational. Red Sea Ports are currently not affected and operating normally.

The situation remains highly fluid and unpredictable. Please act with the utmost caution, prioritising Crew Safety and Vessel Security over all commercial instructions.
