We are committed to maximising the advantages of being a P&I Club based in Japan, to further enhance the value provided to our Members and strengthen our presence in the rapidly changing shipping industry. As a key initiative to achieve this goal, we are actively promoting the strengthening of our hub function within the Japanese maritime cluster and enhancing collaboration with external experts.

In line with this policy, we hosted its inaugural Maritime Lawyers networking event for on 9 December at the Ark Hills Club in Tokyo. This marks a concrete first step toward building a robust network with external experts.

This event was held during this milestone year of our 75th anniversary to express our gratitude to the maritime lawyers who consistently support the Club. It successfully brought together a total of 44 maritime legal professionals from across Japan. The occasion provided an invaluable opportunity to strengthen the rapport between these experts and our Claims Department.
Crucially, this initiative serves to strengthen the foundation for a swifter and more accurate response structure by further deepening the collaboration between our Claims Department and the maritime lawyers.

We will continue to leverage this robust network to flexibly address the diverse needs of our Members and contribute to the development of the shipping industry by providing even higher quality insurance services.
