[Statement by Director General Yukio Toriyama]
Mr. Royston Deitch, who will retire at the end of June this year, has dedicated many years of service to our London Liaison Office. He has played a pivotal role in developing the Association's international network and enhancing services for our Members. We would like to express our deepest respect and heartfelt gratitude for his dedicated contributions to the Association.
His successor, Mr. William Robinson, is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of career experience in the marine insurance industry, specifically in the mutual P&I sector.
He brings extensive expertise and a proven track record. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of the regional subsidiary company of another IG Club. Prior to that, he held other senior management, governance, and compliance roles at that Club, including positions such as P&I Underwriting Technical Director, General Manager of the Coastal and Inland business and Executive Director of a leading marine delay insurer. Furthermore, as a qualified Solicitor, he possesses deep knowledge of legal and regulatory affairs.
I am confident that Mr. Robinson's expertise and broad network within IG matters, combined with the wealth of experience of our existing team, will continue to develop the Association’s business and further enhance its positive reputation. Building upon the strong foundation established by Mr. Deitch, and alongside the leadership of Mr. Robinson, the Association remains fully committed to enhancing its prompt, high-quality claims and other services to assist our Members.
We sincerely appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
Yours faithfully,
Japan P&I Club
