Conflicts in the Middle East(No.3)

10 March 2026 No.1357

We have received information from our correspondents in Saudi Arabia, Mutual Marine Services Al Mushtaraka Ltd., regarding the recent update of the situation in Middle East as of 8 March 2026 following attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran.

Strait of Hormuz

Remains closed.

Port Situation:

UAE - all ports operating. Pursuant to a temporary facilitation measure introduced by Dubai Customs, cargo destined for Jebel Ali Port and Free Zones in the Emirate of Dubai may be transported directly by road from the Ports of Fujairah and Khorfakkan. This measure allows containers to be moved to their final destination in Dubai without undergoing regular customs clearance procedures at the initial port of arrival. This temporary facilitation has been in force since 8 March 2026. Please be advised that the measure remains valid only for the duration of the current exceptional circumstances and is subject to amendment, suspension, or withdrawal by Dubai Customs at any time as deemed necessary. For further details, please find attached the circular from the Government of Dubai.

Oman - all ports working.

Qatar - ports are working.

Kuwait - all ports working.

Iraq - all ports working.

Bahrain - suspended operations.

Saudi Arabia - all ports on the Arabian Gulf side are operational. Red Sea Ports are currently not affected and operating normally.

The situation remains highly fluid and unpredictable. Please act with the utmost caution, prioritising Crew Safety and Vessel Security over all commercial instructions.

We will provide further updates as further information becomes available.
