Members are referred to the previous Japan P&I News No.649 dated 21 November 2013 and No.656 dated 8 January 2014, in which members were advised that the commencement of a new vessel reporting system called SISTRAM (Maritime Traffic Information System) to be introduced in the country had been postponed until 28 February 2014.

 

We have been advised by the correspondents that the system has been postponed until further notice due to problem some vessels encountered in accessing the system through on-board internet.

 

The correspondents nevertheless recommend that members send their vessels’ position and navigation data to the following e-mail address: controle@cotram.mar.mil.br even before the commencement of the system.
