James Finlay Ltd., our correspondent in Chittagong, Bangladesh, has advised us that effective from 1/12/2003 the agents of vessels calling at Chittagong port will be required to state the name and address of the clubs in the form of vessels declaration to the port authority.

The extracts of a circular dated 16/11/2003 issued by Harbour master, Chittagong Port Authority are as below.

" 1.	It is notified for information of all concerned that Foreign going vessels intend to call at Chittagong port must have a valid P&I coverage. Without P&I coverage vessel will not be allowed to enter Chittagong port Authority's Karnafuli channel.
2.	While declaring the vessel, the concerned local agent is to mention the name and address of P&I Club in their declaration form. Otherwise, the declaration of the vessel will not be accepted.
3.	This will be effective from 1 December 2003."
